Frequently asked questions

What is Animal Communication?

Animal Communication is a skill like any other. I use empathy and intuition tools to assist in the sharing of feelings, needs and ideas between a person and their animal companion.

As a Communicator, I essentially act as a translator for the animals. I have been doing this work for the better part of 20 years and have found that our animals are always open to communicating their feelings, needs & wants. They can be very detailed in the ideas that they wish to share with their caretakers.

I truly believe that animals can tell us what they need and are greatly validated by sharing their stories & feelings. Very often, the simple act of communication - an animal being heard & listened to; validated - can have significant positive affects for the pet(s) - and their families. Whatever (almost) you can ask an animal friend, they can answer!

As a matter of course, I do need to mention that I do not censor the information that I receive from the animals & as I am not a veterinarian (though I do work with many veterinarians) I do not prescribe or diagnose. Animals however can be incredibly detailed in the information they share with us about what goes on within their bodies and generally within their lives as physiological, biological, emotional & sentient beings. Animals can communicate symptoms that we were previously unaware of, sometimes root causes& events, and are even able to share bodily/behavioral indicators that have yet to manifest fully to where our diagnostic tools are able to pick them up. They are truly super-sensitive within their bodies and hearts!

No animal ever does anything without a reason - even if we don't fully understand what that reason is. Our animals can tell us not only what they need and what would help them physically, emotionally & mentally, but also how to adjust their behavior (if necessary). They are also able to give us insight into their past (when needed) the roots of some behaviors & conditions, and even what they may need to help them to resolve your concerns.

If you have a question concerning a distinct issue (as an injury or particular behavior, for example) please share that information with me as the more information I have in these very specific situations, the better the communication can be & the more input I am able to share. A primary reason for this is that for the majority of animals, hiding pain/illness is a biological & instinctual prerogative & some individuals may not want to share some of this information unless they are specifically asked about it & can therefore address it. E.g.: If your dog had a knee surgery several years ago, he/she may not bring it up automatically during a communication as it may no longer be an issue for them, but if it is a concern for you, then it is very helpful to ask about that issue in particular.

How does a Communication Session Work?

What do I need to provide prior to a Communication Session?

The following are needed before we can get started:
- Consent form to be completely filled out.
- A few photo's of your animal companion(s).
- Payment is in advance

How long is a Communication Consult?

What is the cost of a Session?

– Distance/Telephone?

– In Home/Barn?

At this time, I prefer to work with clients one-on-one whenever possible.

What kind of Payment is accepted?

A full session is one hour per animal. Animals can share so much information that there simply isn’t enough time, in my experience, to get to major concerns in any less time than an hour. (especially if there is past trauma/fears/physical concerns/pain etc.)

What kind of questions can I ask?

Our animal companions can answer just about anything we may think to ask them, just as you would a good friend. Some examples are:

- How do you feel about the addition of another pet into our household?
- Are you happy with your new environment?
- Is there anything that you need that would make you more comfortable?

The answers given by the animal can be as diverse as the questions, and may include how the animal is feeling emotionally, mentally, behaviorally and physically (as in the case of injury, aches & pains, etc.) The main questions at least 48 hours prior to the appointment to do prep work.
